BERKELEY COUNTY, SC - Three people are safe early Monday morning, after an overdue boat was found in the middle of Lake Moultrie.

 Berkeley County Rescue Squad was notified of the overdue boat Sunday night. Family members were not sure where the boaters were going.

 The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office found the Jeep and trailer at the Russellville Boat landing. The Rescue Squad and SC DNR officers began searching Lake Moultrie.

 At 1:30 Monday morning, an overturned boat was found. 20-year-old Calvin Cumbee II, 23-year-old Kaleb Caddell and 21-year-old Jessica Jessup were holding up the boat. Two were wearing life jackets and the third was holding on to a cooler.

 They told officials that the boat overturned between 4 and 5 Sunday afternoon.

 EMS treated all three for exposure and hyperthermia before transporting them to a local hospital.
