The Charlotte, North Carolina, motor club released Wednesday its list of the top 20 substandard bridges in the state.

The top six bridges on the list are again on Interstate 26 in Lexington, Richland and Charleston counties, the same as last year. Bridges are rated based on Department of Transportation data and factoring in traffic volume.

The list is again topped by the I-26 bridge just northwest of Columbia that carries the interstate across the CSX Railroad.

That bridge is considered structurally deficient. That means it is in relatively poor condition and/or inadequate to handle the weight of trucks.
