Police say two suspects robbed the Circle K on West Montague Avenue and Dorchester Road just before midnight on Sunday. According to the clerk, two male subjects entered the store. One of the suspects demanded money while holding what is believed to have been a handgun. The clerk says the suspect struck him in the head with the weapon and took cash from the register. The suspect also took several packs of Newport cigarettes before leaving the store.

The victim was treated on the scene by EMS.

After the suspects fled the Circle K, they encountered a second victim at the BB&T Bank ATM machine nearby. The suspects demanded money while holding the victim at gunpoint. The victim told the suspects that the money was still in the ATM. The suspects then fled in the victim's car.

Moments later, North Charleston police officers were alerted to a vehicle crashing into a garage on Westview Street. Once on scene, the officers discovered that the vehicle involved was the one stolen from the BB&T Bank. The suspects had left that scene. Officers found a BB gun inside the stolen car that was used during the robbery at the Circle K.

Keyon White of North Charleston was identified as one of the suspects in the robbery. He was found his home and transported to the North Charleston Police Department. White confessed to the crimes. He has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of hit and run. He is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.

Investigators are working to identify the second suspect involved in this incident.
