A South Carolina tow-truck driver is convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 26-years in prison on Thursday.

Preston Oates, 30, was involved in a towing dispute in Bluffton, South Carolina, on Christmas Eve 2010. He is convicted of the shooting death of 34-year old Carlos Olivera of Bluffton. The incident started following a dispute over the victim's booted minivan.

It took jurors three hours to convict Oates on manslaughter and possession of a firearm during commission of a violent crime for the shooting death of Olivera.

Oates must serve 85 percent of his sentence to be eligible for early release.
