Tropical Depression 7 formed Wednesday afternoon in the Caribbean, the National Hurricane Center reported. The depression has been upgrade to Tropical Storm Gabrielle
The Tropical Storm has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and was moving to the northwest at 8 mph. It's located about 70 miles south of Ponce, Puerto Rico.
A tropical storm warning has been issued for Puerto Rico, the hurricane center reported.

The storm's forecast path from the hurricane center shows it curving out into the Atlantic away from the USA, after dumping heavy rain as a tropical storm on Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Haiti on Thursday.
