New club seats at The Joe offers luxury baseball experience

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Riverdogs' brand new Riley Park Club will be unveiled at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park Wednesday.

"It falls in line with the trends you see in the sports industry right now, which is to have more communal spaces for people to gather,” said Scott Bush, VP of Marketing and Development for the RIverdogs.

The club put $3 million into the 6,000 square foot luxury box, which seats over the first-base side bleachers.

Tickets start at $70 and include all-you-can-eat catering with food and wine. There are 150 tickets sold during games, although there are technically only 118 seats padded bleacher seats associated with a ticket. The remaining ticket purchasers can still mingle and watch the game from inside the air-conditioned box.

“We built it with versatility in mind,” Bush said, noting that the Riley Park Club isn’t just for games. It can also be rented for business functions or even wedding ceremonies and receptions.

“It’s part of how can we continue to enhance the fan experience throughout the facility,” Bush added.

The Riverdogs opening day is scheduled for April 6.
