Wando student arrested for knife, razor blades on campus

Mt. Pleasant, S.C. (WCIV) — An 18-year-old student at Wando High School has been arrested for weapons on school campus after she was found to have two razor blades and an 8-inch multicolored knife with a 3.5-inch blade in her purse.

Kenedy Cash, of Awendaw, was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center Wednesday.

According to a police report, the weapons were found after an altercation with another student Monday, where the student threw a soda bottle, possibly Mello Yello, at Cash, the police report states.

That student was charged with disorderly conduct as a juvenile and sent to family court, the police report states.

After the altercation, students told administrators that Cash had been in the cafeteria line when she was heard saying, “I’m not playing with no bi**h, cause I’ll stab and tase anybody,” according to a police report.

That promoted school officials to search Cash’s brown Luis Vuitton purse, which is when they found the weapons.

According to the Charleston County detention center, Cash was previously arrested in February 2017 by Mt. Pleasant police for disorderly conduct.
