Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is one of the largest in the Lowcountry, and now they will gain national recognition on A&E's popular TV series, Live PD.

Yesterday, Sheriff Duane Lewis made the announcement that his department would be joining Live PD. Four new departments, including Berkeley, will be new to the show starting this Friday, November 14th. They will be aired for the next four weeks. You can catch them on Friday and Saturday nights at 9:00PM.

It is the most watched series on cable television, and viewers get a live, unfiltered look into the daily duties of the country's busiest law enforcement departments and the communities they serve. Sheriff Lewis says:

"Citizens, elected officials, and deputies have all asked about joining Live PD. I'm glad to see it coming to fruition. From taking drug dealers off the streets to solving decades-old cases, we're excited to highlight the great work this office does on a daily basis to a national television audience."

Tune in to A&E this Friday at 9:00PM.
