NEW: Cola. Convoy to get back on I-95, split between I-20 and I-77 is DELAYED
Arthur Stonez says: Monday, 2/28/22 at 10 a.m.:
"The departure time will be delayed today but at this point that's all I know. There are several meetings happening as I post this between the different convoy groups and I will update more once I know. I wish I could say more but I am not in upper circle of communication, I'm merely a volunteer whose sole focus was getting Freedomville ready. Please do not bombard...with questions as most likely I will not have an answer at this time. For anyone in the Cola area we are here at the speedway sorting and working on getting all these supplies into the trucks. The community had been overwhelming to say the least. What we first thought of needing one 53' trailer to load everything into has now become needing two 53' trailers. For those that stuck it out all day and night at Freedomville ... THANK YOU. It was a honor to meet so many of you and seeing everyone having a great time."
SUNDAY NIGHT UPDATE: Southeast Peoples Convoy to D.C. Truckers arrived in Cayce, SC outside of Columbia, Sunday night Feb. 27th. Event supporters say they'd planned on leaving Monday afternoon to get back on I-95 split between I-20 and I-77, but that all timing, plans could change.
Arthur Stonez says 30 trucks had been reportedly impounded by DOT (not sure which states) And said a few truckers apparently got $1000 fines. Also, reports on Tik Tok (via video) shows D.C. beltway blocked w/ construction vehicles. Inside beltway fencing back up around Capitol.
ROUTE: This Sunday the Southeast Trucker Convoy Route is posted as: '95N from southern SC border to 26 W to Columbia. Then I-20 to 95 N on Monday, utilizing 77 N as well.'
South Carolina Peoples Convoy to D C. Supporter/Volunteer Arthur Stonez:
'Plan your overpass cheering, flag waving and freedom horn honking parties accordingly. We will be running a little late as to allow some of the Alabama and Florida trucks to all meet up at the Kingsland point just north of Jacksonville. Please note these are still approximate times as we can not dictate any changes that could pop up for construction, weigh station inspections and other outside influences that could effect travel times. For those attending the COLA RALLY ... please arrive as early as possible so we are not trying to get both rally attendees and convoy members into the grounds all at the same time. We will have the gates open at noon so you can drop off any donations anytime after that. We should have the Monday Departure times and schedule posted soon.'
Depart at 3pm Kingsland, GA
Arriving at 5pm Pooler, GA
Arriving at 7pm COLA
RALLY POINT:
'Columbia was chosen for a few reasons , one being central, two it's well stocked with diesel and truck repair services for any folks needing parts or service and three the location is very we suited to host everyone.' SC Convoy Supporter/Volunteer Arthur Stonez said on SC Peoples Convoy page:
'The COLA Rally stop ... will be from Sunday the 27th to Monday the 28th..... The drivers will be rolling out of Jacksonville mid day travelling 95 to 26 .... They will depart Monday afternoon utilizing both 77 N and 20 E to 95 N.'
