Erica Hendrick and her cousin, Katie Isbell, traveled to Charleston for a vacation. They were in the water Sunday afternoon off the beach of Isle of Palms when it is believed that Erica was attacked by a shark. A City of Isle of Palms representative did confirm that she was attacked by a "marine creature" of some sort.

In Katie's Facebook post she says "a shark slammed into the side of my left arm and then bit Erica's foot."

Erica needed 29 stitches in her foot after the attack. Katie also included in her Facebook post that "Erica is doing great" and they are still "trying to make the best of their vacation".
