CHARLESTON, SC (WSCC) - Hurricane Florence has strengthened to a major category 3 hurricane during the National Hurricane Center's 11am Monday advisory. Florence now has winds of 115 mph and is heading west 13 mph.
The storm is expected to become a strong category 4 hurricane when it makes landfall somewhere between South Carolina and North Carolina.
