Charleston Schools likely to stay closed past April 13

Homeschooling your kids or working from home? Hang in there...Charleston schools will most likely not be opening by April 13. Superintendent Gerrita Postlewait has expressed concern in regards to the rapid growth of coronavirus and how unlikely it is for schools and businesses to re-open within the time period they were expected to. All of this was discussed at the board meeting Monday, which took place through a conference call. Last week, the district stated that students would return to class the Monday following spring break, however now are looking into whether or not CCSD will need to put additional instructional dates into play to make up for lost time.
