Isaias Still Expected to Make Landfall Tonight as a Hurricane

2:17 PM EDT Mon Aug 3 2020

Tropical Storm Isaias will remain about 100 miles off the Georgia coast as it tracks north today, then move inland near the North Carolina and South Carolina border late this evening. The worst conditions along the South Carolina coast will be late this afternoon through this evening. Meanwhile, conditions along the Georgia coast will begin to improve later this afternoon.
Isaias will bring tropical storm force winds, torrential rainfall, storm surge inundation, rip currents, high surf with significant beach erosion, and possibly a few tornadoes. The greatest risk for hazards will be along the South Carolina coast and offshore.
