Freshman Mace hits ground running in DC for SC

CONGRESSWOMAN-ELECT NANCY MACE WINS ELECTION TO KEY HOUSE POLICY COMMITTEE

Congresswoman-Elect Nancy Mace (SC-1) has been chosen by her colleagues for the House Republican Policy Committee (RPC) during a Steering Regional and Policy Representative Elections. As an incoming freshman, Representative-Elect Mace will serve as the Policy Representative for the South Carolina and Georgia delegations. It was a unanimous vote.

“I wanted to get to work on day one representing the Lowcountry in Congress. With this key post, I’ll be helping to shape policy immediately,” said Mace. “I want to ensure the ideas and the values of my district, state and region, within our conference, are fully represented.”

Founded in 1949, the House RPC serves as one of the principal advisory committees to House Republicans, covering all areas of policy. Members of the RPC are responsible for providing white-papers and approaches to generate tangible legislative results. This is the principal forum for generating bold and innovative policy initiatives. The committee is currently chaired by Rep. Gary Palmer (AL-06).
