The couple says their being forced to chose between a shot that's proven detrimental to at least one of their family members, or lose a chance at a set of life saving lungs for Dewayne.

A lack of consistent practice across programs continues to send mixed messages to the public. Houston Methodist and Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, said they don't require covid vaccinations to approve active candidates for the national waiting list. Yet, UW Medicine in Seattle began mandating covid vaccines this summer.
