4 North Charleston schools on lockdown after reports of gunshots

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Four North Charleston schools were placed on lockdown at 11:40 and remain on lockdown after reports of gunshots in the area.

Those four schools are:

Liberty Hill Academy

Academic Magnet

Charleston County School of the Arts

N. Charleston Creative Arts Elementary

School officials have said they are currently unsure how long the lockdown will remain in place.

We are awaiting additional information from the North Charleston Police Department.
