NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — During the White House press briefing Tuesday, Sean Spicer confirmed that Trump will attend the Boeing 787-10 rollout in North Charleston on Friday.
Boeing officials announced plans for a ceremony on Friday to celebrate the debut of the first 787-10, the newest member of the 787 Dreamliner family. They would not say whether or not Trump would be attending despite a tweet from a CNN reporter saying that the President would be there.
On Sunday, the Federal Aviation Authority issued a notice that a VIP will be in the Charleston area Friday, telling pilots to expect air restrictions.
The ceremony at Boeing is still being planned with times to be announced on Thursday.
With the plant being so close to the airport, it is not known if traffic will be affected.
We will update this story when more information becomes available.
