Police investigating after responding to injured infant who later died

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

North Charleston police say they are investigating after officers responded to an injured infant who later died at a hospital. 

According to police, shortly after 4 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of Remount Road in reference to an injured and unresponsive male infant.

Spencer Pryor with NCPD says the infant was transported to Trident Medical Center where he later died.

Police are continuing the investigation.
