Hurricane Florence Could Impact the East Coast Next Week

CHARLESTON, SC (WSCC) - Hurricane Florence weakened from a major hurricane into a category 2 hurricane overnight with winds of 105 mph as of 11am on Thursday September 6th.

The storm is headed west towards the eastern coast of the United States. The big question is will turn and head north or continue on west and impact the east coast?

According to the meteorologists at Live 5 News, "A large difference remains in computer model outlooks, so it's still too far out to talk about possible impacts to the U.S."

We'll continue to watch the storm over the next few days.
