SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) -
Dorchester and Charleston Counties, as well as Folly Beach, will distribute sandbags on Monday at a number of locations.
In Charleston County, sandbags will be available until Wednesday or until supplies run out.. The bags are self-serve with a limit of 10 bags per household. People must bring their own shovel, but there will be assistance on site for those who need it.
- The old Piggly Wiggly site on Sumar Street in West Ashley
- Charleston Fire Station at 1985 Bees Ferry Road
- Public Service building at 2150 Milford Street
Several sandbag locations will also be open in Dorchester County.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Monday, sandbags will be available at these locations with a limit of 10 sandbags per household:

Folly Beach will also have a location for sandbags at 106 W. Cooper Street beginning at 12 p.m. on Monday. Each resident is limited to up to 10 bags. Residents are asked to bring a shovel, pick the bags up from Public Safety and fill them at the boat landing. Officials are asking people not to take any sand from the beach.
The Isle of Palms is providing sand and sandbags at the municipal parking lot located on Pavilion Drive. Please note that sand and sandbags will be available on a first come/first serve basis, and limited to 10 sandbags per resident. The sandbags are free of charge.
