WILMINGTON, NC (WSCC) - Dramatic video from Wilmington, North Carolina, shows a news crew arriving at a Family Dollar to find dozens of people carrying items out of the store.
The camera man shot video inside the store that looked destroyed with items and shelving thrown everywhere.
Police were not present at the store and later said that "management [of the Dollar Tree] has asked not to intervene at this time."
Wilmington Police enacted an extended curfew, due to the looting, which started at 5pm Saturday and will go until 6am. The citywide curfew will run from 10pm to 6am.
The Dollar Tree has decided to press charges using the video from the news. Police have arrested 5 people so far and are working to identify the others.
