Man burglarizes Lowcountry homes during Hurricane Florence

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Deputies have arrested a man accused of burglarizing Lowcountry homes during and after Hurricane Florence.

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 32-year-old Coleman Tudor of Pawleys Island.

His arrest stems from multiple homes being burglarized in the Pawleys Plantation community while the residents were evacuated due to Florence.

On Friday, the sheriff’s office Investigation Division took Tudor into custody on charges of burglary and grand larceny in connection with those burglaries.

“Gold and silver jewelry and flatware reported stolen were recovered by officers,” GCSO officials said.

Additional charges are pending, and the investigation is continuing.
