Local VA looking for volunteers to drive vets to appointments

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in downtown Charleston is in “immediate” need of additional volunteers to transport veterans to their medical appointments.

Each month, about 800 veterans are taken to their appointments by the local volunteers, who drive donated vans.

To apply, contact the Ralph H. Johnson VAMC Voluntary Service Department at (843) 789-7230 or https://www.charleston.va.gov/giving/volunteer.asp
