EMS crews responds to carriage accident in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County EMS responded to an incident involving a horse carriage in downtown Charleston.

According to the Charleston County Spokesperson Charles Francis, at 3:00 p.m. a horse got spooked and started backing up causing the carriage to jackknife.

The driver and a passenger were thrown from the carriage and received minor injuries, Francis said.

The horse was not injured and was taken back to the barn.
