3 injured in crash near Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Fire crews say a wreck involving two vehicles sent three people to the hospital on Christmas night.

Crews responded to the crash at Rifle Range Road and Boston Grill Road at approximately 8:46 p.m., according to a post on the Awendaw-McClellanville Consolidated Fire District’s Facebook page.

One of the victims was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters from the Mount Pleasant Fire Department and Charleston Volunteer Rescue Squad assisted in getting the victim out of the vehicle.

Injuries ranged from minor to severe, the post states.

Law enforcement was investigating the cause of the crash.
