A man from Summerville, facing charges: stole a Charleston Fire Department SUV and led several law enforcement agencies on a pursuit from Goose Creek to Charleston.
Lathan talked over the F.D. radio during the pursuit, said he stole the truck and was going to James Island to return it “unless somebody killed him,”. A negotiator tried to reason with him.
Lathan's bail was set at $100,000.after arrested and faces one count each of failure to stop for blue lights & receiving stolen goods over $10,000 in Berkeley County.
