The U.S. Senate has approved a bill aimed at cracking down on unwanted robocalls.
The TRACED Act, which stands for Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence, passed with a 97-1 vote on Wednesday.
The bill allows illegal robocallers to be fined up to $10,000 per call and would make it easier to find and prosecute offenders.
Sen. John Thune, one of the bill's sponsors, says it will "make life a lot more difficult for scam artists".
Do you think this bill will actually help cut down robocalls?
