Sharks That Glow in the Dark

Great White Shark smile

A newly discovered shark species has a pretty unique way of ordering out for dinner.

Apparently, all the 5 1/2-inch American Pocket Shark needs to do is glow in the dark, and the prey comes to them.

Researchers say the shark secretes a glowing fluid from a tiny pocket gland near its front fins, which is thought to help attract prey.

Other glow-in-the-dark ocean organisms do exist in the ocean but this is the first shark discovered to have these abilities, what other fascinating deep-sea discoveries have grabbed your attention?
