A representative for the vape company JUUL was reportedly invited to pitch his product to a classroom of ninth graders.
Two teens who were in the class recently testified to Congress about the experience, claiming that in 2018 a JUUL rep told the class that their products were "totally safe".
The school says the seminar was booked by an outside company and that they had no idea a JUUL rep was invited. JUUL claims the lecture was part of a "short-lived Education and Youth Prevention Program" that was cancelled because it was "misconstrued".
