TD #3 continues moving northwest Monday night, east of south Florida

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Tropical Depression #3 is just east of south Florida as it continues to move northwest late Monday night.

Tropical Depression #3 is currently 65 miles southeast of West Palm Beach, Fla. and is moving northwest at 10 mph with 30 mph maximum sustained winds.

Officials with the National Hurricane Center said no significant increase in strength is expected, and the depression is forecast to dissipate by Wednesday.

“There wasn’t much change with the system tonight,” said Live 5 Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh. "The current forecast takes it toward the Florida coast then gets absorbed by an upper trough off our coast.

According to Walsh, there are no major impacts expected for the Lowcountry.

“A turn toward the north-northwest is expected overnight followed by a turn toward the north and north-northeast on Tuesday and Tuesday night,” NHC officials said."On the forecast track, the center of the depression should remain just offshore of the east coast of Florida over the next day or so."
