Wind gusts bring down power lines in Charleston, Mt. Pleasant

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - High wind gusts brought down power lines in Mount Pleasant and Charleston Friday morning.

A pole on Lockwood Drive was brought down in front of the Charleston police department where officers are directing traffic.

Lansing drive near Coleman Boulevard is also closed in Mount Pleasant because of downed lines.

A wind advisory is in effect through the evening throughout the Lowcountry.
