CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - South Carolina lawmakers who represent the Charleston area announced a fund designed to help rebuild the city of Charleston after riots Saturday night.
Sen. Marvin Kimpson said they have raised $8,000, adding that if they are able to raise $25,000, an anonymous donor pledged to match funds.
Kimpson and other state legislators announced the fund at a Sunday morning news conference outside Morris Brown AME Church.
Kimpson said they will post more information at a later time.
