CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a standoff with a man they say has barricaded himself inside a home.
Deputies are asking drivers to avoid the area of Savannah Highway near Main Road.
That roadway was closed as of approximately 12:45 p.m., Capt. Roger Antonio said. Deputies are rerouting traffic to Bees Ferry Road, he said.
There is no word on what prompted the incident or whether anyone has been injured. It is not clear whether anyone else is currently inside the home.
