The new COVID-19 voting law that allows all South Carolinians to vote absentee during the 2020 Presidential election now has an appeal that was filed by South Carolina Republicans and the South Carolina State Election Commission. The appeal is to require that there be a witness signature on all absentee ballots for the Presidential election. Those behind the appeal want the signature requirement to remain in place due to concerns over election security.
