ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities have arrested a woman who they say fired a shotgun at a man following an argument at a bar in Holly Hill.

The sheriff’s office charged 35-year-old Lindsay Hulteen with attempted murder.

“This individual took matters into her own hands when she should have called us,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. “This could have ended a lot different if she had.”

Last Thursday, deputies responded to a Bass Drive home in Holly Hill for a shooting. A report states as investigators drove toward the incident location they came upon the victim who said he had been shot.

The 37-year-old man said he and Hulteen had been at a local bar having drinks together when an argument between the two broke out.

“That resulted in the woman leaving the man at the bar,” OCSO officials said. “The man said he was shot in the front yard after getting a ride to Hulteen’s residence to pick up some belongings.”

The sheriff’s office said Hulteen admitted to investigators shooting a shotgun at a point on a sidewalk resulting in the pellets being deflected and striking the man in the arm and leg.

The victim was transported to the RMC for treatment.

Bond was set on Hulteen at $25,000 cash or surety.
