SATURDAY UPDATE

Meteorologist Joey Sovine says it’s still too early to tell the storm’s exact path this far out and says it is unlikely to have any impact on the Lowcountry, if it has one at all, before Tuesday night.

It’s still too early to tell exactly what path the storm will take as it approaches the southeastern U.S. coast.

Meteorologist Joey Sovine said the storm is expected to turn toward the north as it approaches Florida, and he said the timing of that turn will decide how much of a direct impact -- if any at all -- it will have on the Lowcountry.

The so-called cone of uncertainty, which includes possible paths from numerous computer models, shows the storm could track on either side of the Florida peninsula.
