The polling website reports that Trump has an average 43.8% approval rating and 52.6% disapproval rating for surveys conducted between December 9 and January 11. The president was previously reported to have an average 44.3% approval rating and 52.5% disapproval rating for surveys conducted between December 9 and January 7.

Trump is reported to have a -11% spread in the latest I&I/TIPP poll; a -9% spread in the latest Rasmussen Reports poll; a -9% spread in the latest RMG Research** poll; a -18% spread in the latest CBS News poll; a -14% spread in the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll; a -12% spread in the latest Economist/YouGov poll; and a -5% spread in the latest Morning Consult poll.

Trump was reported to have net approval rating at around -13 entering 2026, according to famed polling expert Nate Silver in his Silver Bulletin blog. Silver acknowledged that "people aren't going to pay much attention to polls released during the holidays" and Trump's net approval rating average "has been hovering around -13 since mid-December," but claimed he expected "poll releases to pick back up" during the first week of the new year.
