Today, September 22, 2020, is National Registration Day, which means we are less than 45 days away from the 2020 Presidential election. With the new COVID-19 law that was approved by Gov. McMaster that allows all South Carolina voters to vote absentee, voting has never been made easier. You can register to vote in person, or online, and you will need your South Carolina Driver's License handy. If you don't have a drivers license, contact your local election headquarters office to get yourself registered. You will also need to make sure that all of your information is up to date, so if you have recently moved, you will need to update your address.

The Charleston County Board of Elections has come up with an extremely simple way for voters to register with new signs that have QR codes to scan. Once scanned, that QR code will open up a web page that will take users to the website to register, the same as many restaurants have been using to open up menus.

Friday, October 2, 2020 is the last day to register to vote in person, but you have until October 4, 2020 to register to vote online.
