Grassroots Effort to SAVE THE FIELDS
WHEN: Sat. 6/9 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
WHERE: Tom Conley Park, 364 Tom Conley Park Rd. Ladson | SC 29456-3060 (off Royle Rd.)
WHAT: Baseball, jump castles, a dunk tank, and face painting, Corn hole and prizes
WHY: They need to raise $387,500 by years-end to save the 16-acre property from becoming another development!
Over decades, tens of thousands of players like me have developed a passion for sports on these fields. And let me tell you, as a former softball player, my nights at Tom Conley ball field ABSOLUTELY helped shape me into the adult I am today. Aside from being a fun, positive learning environment:
-keeps youth out of trouble
-kids learn imperative life lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competitiveness, resilience, courage and hard work
-players are encouraged to achieve both athletic and academic success
