The Volvo Car Open has been canceled due to concerns with coronavirus. Organizers said they are now offering ticket holders a full refund or credit to the next Volvo Car Open.
"This decision has been made for the health and safety of our players, employees, volunteers, fans, partners and everyone associated with the Volvo Car Open,” organizers said in a statement.

"To me it's completely irrational ... it makes no sense. No body has died from it here! It's said to have a $30 million dollar impact so who's going to lose here? It's going to be all the people hired at the event, uber drivers ..."

The NBA decided to suspend the rest of the season. The NHL and MLS both suspended their seasons as well, while MLB canceled spring training and is planning to delay the start of the regular season by two weeks. The NCAA also announced that both the men's and women's tournaments will be canceled due to the viral outbreak.
