This comes on the heels of January sit down with Politico where SC former Gov. and US Ambassador Nikki Haley said Trump had 'no political future'. The piece wasn't released until February, conveniently the same day 45's defense team took to the Senate floor to win a second Impeachment trial.
Listen on demand now to SC GOP Chair Drew McKissick's response to the disconnect of current Republican Party leadership:
SC US Rep. Nancy Mace is also facing backlash from at least one of her #SC01 GOP groups. The Berkeley County Republican Party has issued this letter of reprimand that reads in part:
"Your comments against fellow Republicans, include expressing a desire to have those who voted to object to the certification of Electoral College results, disciplined by the House and defunded by corporate contributors. In fact, you stated you were encouraged by corporations doing the right thing—referring to the defunding of more than 135 fellow House Republicans. You stated that you cast your vote as one of “conscience,” but have indicated others who simply voted in opposition to your position, should be disciplined and defunded."
