Props to the army of parents speaking out at our local school board meetings - including last night in Berkeley County, and Monday night's in Charleston County Schools. I’ve said from day one that CCSD nor any other district, cannot penalize students for not following the mask requirement at school - now they’re having to admit it out loud!

Also, Check out how they are treating a father and a teacher, parent & grandmother who spoke at Monday's school board meeting cutting public comment time to only one minute, then taking mic away, and physically 'ushering' folks away from the podium:

CCSD Dad: 'We're coming for your positions to fix this mess!'

Charleston County School Board Chair Rev. Erick Mack said the district cannot punish students who do not wear masks.

Those comments were made during a school board meeting on Monday evening. Mack said the district will not deny access to students’ education if those rules aren’t followed, but wants parents to consider that their kids follow the rules.

Last week, the school board voted 8-1 to require students and staff to wear masks at Charleston County school facilities through Oct. 15. According to Mack, that vote came from discussion during executive session with medical advice and legal advice as well as moving forward “with the best course of action” the board can take.

And if you missed the BCSO board meeting. Take a look:
