HOW TO HELP: fire displaces 179
About 179 residents in 56 units were displaced from the Palm's Apartment fire and require long-term recovery support.
A Charleston Police Sgt. and his wife are among the affected. A GoFundMe has been set up for Shane and Lisa Lafromboise here. City PD is also apparently accepting clothing donations at the Charleston Police Department Headquarters.
And, here is a link to the Lowcountry Red Cross 'Hometown Heroes' Fund that continues to support families who've lost everything to fire devastation.
HOW TO HELP: The American Red Cross of South Carolina responds to six home fires every day on average. Gifts from local “Hometown Heroes” provide financial assistance so families can pay for their immediate needs such as food, clothes, personal care items, and a safe place to stay.
