Thank you for dropping off your donations Sunday at American Biker in Ladson. Turns out, Tennessee asked for your flood relief donations to be sent to Ida ravaged La. instead. And, thanks to 'Smiley' Gene Gilchrist, organizing with Rider Law Group and Southeast Rescue, that's exactly where they've landed today. Check out his updates on air 6-9 a.m. weekdays on The Kelly Golden Show and online:

Gilchrist is working with lowcountry Chef and RedFish Mafia Boat Captain Jamie Hough of Southeast Rescue, a registered 501(c)3, that's a collective group of volunteers from all over the Southeast providing rescue and relief efforts in response to natural disasters.

"We rise by helping others and your donations help us fulfill that mission," Hough says.

Hough was also featured on Gordon Ramsey's Master Chef series in 2019. The pair got together last night to feed hundreds of first responders in the air a smoked BBQ dinner, as well as breakfast this morning, and their efforts aren't going unnoticed.

"Good morning, Lafourche! Starting off with some positivity this morning, we wanted to give a shout out to Southeast Rescue and Relief as well as Paul Dufrene and Dufrene Building who provided a hot meal for deputies and the South Lafourche community last night. We know we have a long road ahead, but we know we get through it together #LafourcheStrong." -Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office
